Similarly, Cloud 9 Fabrics makes a number of organic cotton things that are very good quality. They’re not super premium or anything ($12-15/yd) but they are so so good. I’ll also throw this out there- I love the Robert Kaufman Essex Linens. Lately I have been drooling over their silk noil, and their naturally dyed organic cotton knits, but there are plenty of good things there. Their online store is a bit hard to search, but most of their inventory is on there.
I’m not sure what constitutes highest quality or top dollar to you, but ordering from indie fabric stores online will probably be your best bet.įor instance, my local fabric store is Stonemountain & Daughters in Berkeley. You might have better luck by deciding on a particular fabric at a time, then asking (yourself, reddit, google), “who makes the highest quality denim?” etc.
